Knutsford Photographic Society

What is the Knutsford Photographic Society (KPS)?

~ on the Web since May 1995!

The KPS is a small, friendly group of amateur photographers, who, although we'll have a go at most things, don't always take ourselves too seriously (note - sadly we no longer meet in a pub, but this is for purely logistical reasons!).
Knutsford, as an old Cheshire (UK) market town, received its Royal Charter in 1292. Its Photographic Society also has a comparatively long history; its precise origins have become lost in the mists of time, but we know it went through a revival after the Second World War and is going strong some 53+ years later.

The general idea is for anyone with an interest in photography, to meet a bunch of like-minded local people once a week throughtout most of the year. Even if you only think you may have some interest in photography (but you're not sure yet) then you are still most welcome. We welcome anyone from hardened long term photographers with all the gear, to happy snappers with an instamatic; male, female, young, and old alike. Why not come along, learn a little more and see what others are either doing or might be able to help you with? The emphasis is on enjoyment!

There are no strings attached! even though our annual subs work out at only something like 74p per meeting (paid annually) (with reduced rates for unemployed, students and senior citizens). No one will jump down your throat and try to cajole you into joining us, so why to come along and try us out first.

We include a copy of the current syllabus to hopefully entice you.
Subs for 2003/2004 are :
~ £25 per member (25GBP)
~ £20 concession (under 18/unemployed/senior citizen) (20GBP)
